Ryan's Ostomy and Surgery Update

We have made a little more progress with pursuing an ostomy reversal.

We have a surgery date scheduled for early June and in the meantime are busy getting Ryan a colonoscopy and MRE to stage his Crohn's and make absolute sure he is a candidate for the surgery!  Both tests and procedures are needed to make sure that his entire intestinal track is still in good working order or else a reversal would go terribly.

There is no reason so suspect that things should not turn out boring and very positive!

We would SUPER appreciate prayers for the colonosocopy and MRE results to be positive and clear, for our surgeon to have absolute clarity of mind and blessed hands as he works on Ryan, and for us to be trusting and at rest with this situation.

While we are not looking forward to a hospital stay, pain, surgery, recovery, and having another summer taken from us...we are much more focused on the GIFT it is to make this surgery a possibility and get Ryan's health back on track.

We could not ask for a nicer hospital, more knowledgeable surgeon, or better timing with Baby D coming soon.  Ryan will have 12-14 weeks of recovery before Baby D makes his or her grand appearance and so we are resting in the knowledge that's the Lord has timed this and isn't surprised by what's happening.

That's all we know right now!  Updates to come as things change or progress.

Two selfies Ryan took of himself on his recent work trip that he probably didn't think I would post to our blog :)

Please pray over Ryan and with us!

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage wait for the Lord!

Psalm 27:14
