A Child Is Born

Merry Christmas to you!

We pray today is a glorious day, reminding of God's sweet love for you.  The gospel, dangerous as it is, points to the entire purpose of today's celebrations.

Jesus Christ, born this day, is the Righteous One who died for our sins and rose again, eternally triumphant over all his enemies, so that there is now no condemnation for those who believe, but only everlasting joy.
Today, this Christmas Day, may you be reminded that true life and freedom are extended to you from Jesus life on the cross.  He came to Earth as a humble babe, died a criminal's death and loves you radically and with crazy passion.

Amen.  Merry Christmas to YOU!  May you truly celebrate today!

For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
    Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9:6

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
