4th of July Pics

Did you all have a great 4th of July???  We did here!  We spent the morning relaxing and then got ready for our families to come over later in the afternoon.  My parents, Ryan's parents and our friend Matt were all here to celebrate.  We grilled burgers and brats, ate fresh cherries and salad, and enjoyed an incredible ice cream cake made by Ryan's mom.  SO good!

Hanging on the back porch, listening to music, and just chatting the afternoon away was a great way to spend the holiday.  Grateful for the USA, freedom, and those who serve to make it possible.

Hope you're having a great week so far!  Here are some pictures of our 4th of July :)

Chalkboard fridge helping us celebrate!

Putting Ryan to work cleaning toilets before guests arrive

Matt making the burgers and enjoying them raw

Fresh, sweet cherries

Getting ready for everyone!

Ryan's most favorite chips in the whole world!

Harpo begging Matt for some raw burger.  He's obviously starving, not!

Back porch ready!

Bright red and white flowers to brighten up our 4th of July

Tired guy-it's a lot of work to heal from two surgeries!

And then Harpo's grandparents showed up and put 4th of july underwear on him HA!!

My parents are CRAZY and hilarious!  They put a fake snake in the grill and when Matt went to turn it on, it SCARED the heck out of him but gave all of us a huge laugh

More shots of Harpo's "outfit".  He looked so hilarious!

Posing with the pooch

Ha ha they put his tail through the crotch hole of the boxers.  Seriously so ridiculous!

Sweet boy.

  1. I love your back porch. Such a relaxing time. It is a blessing to see that Ryan's health is improving and he has a little more energy. Nice Harpo pics -- he is a great sport to let me dress him up for the holiday.

  3. I suggested dying his blonde locks with red and blue stripes and then mohawking the whole thing to mom when she asked for a Harpo costume suggestion. But I guess this milder option was fun too. ;)

    1. HAHAHA. Linny please can we do that?! Maybe for Christmas we'll do red and green. Or just mohawking him and dying him various Thanksgiving colors so he can represent the turkey in November. Genius. Pure genius.
