Camera Dump

Just a post to share some pictures from the past few days.  Any pictures of Ryan below were pre-surgery so don't get any crazy ideas that he is better :)

Speaking of Ryan!  His surgery went well yesterday morning (Thursday 6/28).  He continues to heal and our prayer is that he improves back to full and excellent health.  To manage the pain, a nice strong narcotic is keeping him happy!  He has been experiencing a fair amount of discomfort, soreness and pain today (Friday 6/29) but that is all a part of the process right?  He has an appointment on Tuesday to have the packing re-done and allow our post-op nurse check him out.  That is always painful and not fun :(  But it's necessary and he's so brave!

We're continually thankful for your prayers, all the texts/call/e-mails, meals, and love.  He still has a long road to full recovery but he's better than he was last month and that is what matters to us!

Ryan playing with the camera!

A marigold present from our friends-also in the pot is cilantro, basil and a tomato!

Stud.  This was last week walking around the block-didn't expect another surgery later on!

Don't ask.  When Ryan is feeling better he apparently takes electronics apart.

Sweet face.  He spent Wed/Thurs/Fri with his "grandparents"

Recent reading-if you haven't read Francine Rivers before you must.  Her writing is fabulous.

Sunset on our walk

Ooops.  How did that get in there??  Don't try to hide it husband!

Boys figuring out something exciting about the mail box.

Classy burrito eater.

Mom & I went out to lunch.  Trying out some of the colored goodness on the wall at Melting Pot

Some of the yummy meats waiting for the fondue pot!

Eating the cheese-y goodness.

Storm clouds to the right there!  Thank you Lord for rain!!

RAIN!

  1. Ryan looks good. You just need to fatten him up a bit. Praying for continued progress!

Harpo is a little sweetie. He loves to visit but he was ready to go home. He missed both of you.

I just logged in to Standley Lake Library and put a couple requests in for books by Francine Rivers. I read one of her books quite some time and looking forward to reading more.

Thanks for a nice time at lunch!

  2. He does need to get fatter-but we lost weight again so it's not happening yet. He's down to 151. 1.5 lbs down from his last doc visit :(

Harp loves visiting you guys and Ivy! He's a nice boy!

    1. I know! It seems to come in short 5 minute spurts and it's never a lot but it's better than nothing!! We are not affected by the fires thank the Lord. A lot of people we know in CO Springs have been evacuated. Only one family we know had their home burned down :( Grateful for you friend and all your sweet prayers!
